JV boys turn out victorious against Marble Falls

The JV boys took on the Marble Falls Mustangs Tuesday night. They were in the lead all four quarters and ended the game with the final score of 54-38.

“We executed very well on offense and defense and did well on getting the ball in the paint to the bigs,” sophomore Alex Djukie said. “Although we had a lot of turnovers we were still able to shut them down on defense. It was a great team effort and we moved the ball and shot it around with confidence.”

Sophomore Riley Reagan led in the first half scoring ten points making a three pointer, free throw and three baskets. Junior Blane Smith scored seven points during the first half. By halftime, the team’s score was 28 points.

“We were able to speed them up on the offensive end causing turnovers,” senior B’jon Allen said. “We stayed patient on offense, didn’t force anything and knocked down our shots.”

Smith made all of his free throws in the third and the fourth quarters. Senior B’Jon Allen scored seven points for the team in the second half. By the third quarter, the Lions were at 42 points, and the Mustangs were 13 points below at 29. The boy’s next game will be tonight against East View. The game will be at East View.
