The Lions four game winning streak was broken by the Timberwolves Friday night with Cedar Park only winning by two points, 30-32.

“I feel like defensively we were solid,” junior Chase Cotton said. “We definitely struggled on offense though.”

In the first half, the Lions scored a total of 12 points with senior David Bonner scoring a three pointer and junior Chase Cotton scoring five points.

We need to focus on increasing the speed of the game and maximizing our possessions.

“Individual wise I think I did alright,” Bonner said. “I could’ve been better, but I tend to not think about my individual performance too much when we don’t win as a team. What we do as a team determines if we win or lose.”

In the final half, the team increased their score by 18 points. Cotton and Bonner both increased their scores to 11 points in the game. Next, the Lions will square off against Marble Falls at home tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.

“We need to focus on increasing the speed of the game and maximizing our possessions,” Cotton said.
