Junior Varsity Football Update

Summary of the 2014-2015 Junior Varsity football season.

Both the JV Red and Blue football teams have been undefeated since the beginning of the season, until facing the Vandegrift Vipers.

The JV Blue and Red team played their first game against the Killeen Kangaroos on Thursday, August 28. The score for JV Red was 34-26, and the score for JV Blue was 28-7. Players that gave an exceptional performance were Garrett Parcell, Christian Matthews and Ricky Smith.

Both teams played their second game against the Pflugerville Panthers on Thursday, September 4. The score for JV Red was 22-6, and the score for JV Blue was 18-12. Players that gave a great performance were Kyle Irlbeck, Noah Stewart and Christian Matthews.

JV teams Red and Blue played their third game against the Rouse Raiders on Thursday, September 11. The score for JV Red was 49-14, and the score for JV Blue was 20-13. Players that gave an exceptional performance were Cody Spohn, Daniel Garza and Vincent Cash.

The JV Red and Blue’s 4th game against the Georgetown Eagles on Thursday, September 18, was cancelled due to inclement weather. The JV Red and Blue teams will not be facing the Georgetown Eagles this year.

Most recently, the JV Red and Blue played away at Viper Stadium on Thursday, September 25. The score for JV Red was eight to 24, and the JV Blue score was 14-31.  Players that gave a great performance were Gabe Warren, Daniel Garza and Matthew Benick.

 

The next JV football game will be against the Cedar Park Timberwolves on Thursday, October 9 at Gupton Stadium. Come out and support your Lions!
