The Junior Varsity Red and Blue teams played away against the Cedar Park Timberwolves on Thursday, September, 26th. Despite their hard work, neither teams were able to secure a victory for the Lions. The Red team final score was 6-34; the Blue team final score was 14-17.

“Defense just didn’t show up to play for this game as well as we have in the past, so we need to get back to the drawing board,” JV Red Coach Sundheim said.

Both teams made were said to have made passes and long runs, just not quite long enough to get scores. During the JV Blue game, the scored was tied between the two teams until a last second field goal attempt by the Timberwolves, which boosted their score by three points and won them the game.

“We definitely had a slow start. The second half we played much better up until that last second field goal,” JV Blue Defense Coach Warehime said.

The Junior Varsity Red and Blue teams are going up against a fresh rival, the Rouse Raiders, Thursday, October 3rd. The teams will play at Bible Stadium at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
