The Junior Varsity teams had a strange schedule this past week. On Thursday, September 12th, the JV Blue team played at home against Manor, while the JV Red team played away against Vista Ridge. However, neither teams were able to secure a victory for the Lions. The JV Blue team final score against Manor was 40-13, and the JV Red final score against Vista Ridge was 21-6.

“We just have a lot of kids that are playing a lot more than they’re used to,” JV Red coach Brad Clark said.

Despite the loss, the coaches and players remain hopeful and are going to practice harder than ever to prepare for their next opponents.

“We know Pflugerville’s going to be good, but we’re just gonna go get after them,” Clark said.

The JV Red and Blue teams will play against the Pflugerville Panthers this Thursday, September 19th, away at Keumple Stadium. There has been a schedule change, and now the games start at 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Let’s go Lions!
