The varsity girls soccer team went against Vandegrift high school on February 23, losing 0-1. They were also defeated by the Rebels 1-3 on Tuesday.

“I think we started off good,” junior Gigi Ceka said. “But then we started making some minor mistakes and we ended up losing the game at the end.”

While facing the Vipers, the team fought hard to make a goal until Vandegrift scored a one in the second half.

“We fought hard against Vandegrift,” Ceka said. “We just have to keep pushing and working harder.”

In the game against Hays, senior Caroline Krone scored in the second half tying the game until the Rebels made a come back and scored two goals, making it an overall loss for the Lady Lions.

“We tried really hard in this game,” junior Claire Imig said. “I’m really proud of the hard work the team puts in every week.”

The team will face at home against Lake Travis high school next Friday, March 2 at 7:30.
