Lions place at Camp Tejas Invitational

Girls, Boys Cross country compete at Camp Tejas Invitational

Over the weekend, both boys and girls cross country competed in the Camp Tejas Invitational in Giddings. Overall, the varsity boys team placed second, varsity girls placed fifth, and JV girls placed first. 

“I felt good [about the meet]. It was actually really fun,” junior Karenna Caton said. “ I definitely felt closer with my teammates afterward.”

Sophomore Jace Poole came in third place, senior Cole Robinson placed fourth and senior Tyler Ratzman placed tenth in the 5000 meter-run for varsity boys. Junior Karenna Caton placed first in the two-mile run for JV girls. Sophomore Laramie Powell placed third and sophomore Salma Jimenez placed ninth for the same event. Their next meet is on Saturday, Sep. 28 at McNeil.
