Swim team’s Coach Sully won Coach of the Year at the district swim meet last weekend.

The Lion Swimmers traveled to Temple for a district swim meet. Several of the swimmers qualified for regionals.

The girls team placed 4th and was led by senior Tanya Milanovic, who placed 2nd in the 200 IM and 3rd in the 500. Freshman Sarah Cano placed 5th in the 200 IM and 3rd in the 100 backstroke. The girls team placed 2nd in the 400 freestyle relay breaking the school record.

The boys team finished 4th and was led by senior Josh Wellington who placed 2nd in the 200 IM and 5th in 100 backstroke. Senior Cole Moosavi placed 4th in the 50 freestyle and 3rd in the 100 freestyle. Sophomore Tanner Hartwick finished 5th in the 500 freestyle. The boys swim team also finished 2nd in the freestyle relay setting a new record.

The Lions swim team will go to Texas A&M for regionals next week.
