With spring break approaching, many are wondering what to do while they are off from school. Aside from catching up on your favorite shows and doing homework, here are some fun affordable ways to enjoy your break with your family and friends.

Rodeo Austin
Grab your best guys and gals and head over to Rodeo Austin! The annual rodeo and fair starts on March 16 and end on March 30. Enjoy some local barbeque, carnival games, rides, live music and more. Admission for adults 13 and up is $8 and kids are $5.

Lady Bird Lake
Spring break is a great time to head downtown and enjoy the beautiful weather. Take advantage of the low temperatures and go kayaking and paddle boarding at The Rowing Dock. It’s $15 for one hour for a double kayak and $15 for one hour of paddle boarding.

SXSW
SXSW offers a great opportunity to interact and explore new films, music, and technology. This year, SXSW will begin on March 8 and end March 16. The average wristband price is $225.

GOGA
Incase you weren’t aware, GOGA is yoga with baby goats. This trending activity is spreading quickly across the nation and is a fun positive way to enjoy time with friends. The price is $30 per person for one class. Mats and goats are provided, just be sure to wear comfortable stretchy clothing and bring water.

Hamilton pool
Hamilton Pool Preserve is a historic swimming and hiking site. Hamilton pool is a break spot to go relax, cool off and enjoy the outdoors. Reservations are required in order to enter and it is $11. Swimming is allowed, however there is no lifeguard on duty so you must swim at your own risk. Make sure to bring sunscreen and a towel to dry off with.
