Top things to do in Austin on Easter Weekend

  1. Topgolf Easter Party

Topgolf is hosting a family-friendly event on Easter Sunday. Kids can come and take pictures with the Easter Bunny, and make egg crafts. Tickets for 12 and under cost $5, and families will receive $10 off a Topgolf game to play on Sunday. The party will last from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

 

  1. Annual ASH Dash 5K Bunny Run

Runners can hop along the bunny trail at the 18th annual ASH dash 5K bunny run on April 15. The course will take participants through Hyde park on the Austin State Hospital grounds. Easter egg hunting is in the cards as well; as all participants are welcome to come out and relive childhood memories on the search for eggs. The price for all joggers is $35, and all proceeds go towards helping adults and children who suffer from mental illness. To get more information and to register, click here.

 

  1. Jo’s Easter Pet Parade & Costume Contest

Rabbits aren’t the only pets feeling the love on Easter at Jo’s Easter Pet Parade and Costume Contest. The competition is a family friendly event with plenty of free events such as bouncy houses, face painting, and local vendors. Live music and a parade will be held. If you and your furry- or otherwise- friend wish to bring your A game in costume making, registration is here. Registration is limited to 30 people, and ends tomorrow. The fee for competing is $20, and all proceeds benefit Austin Pets Alive!

 

  1. Spring Eggstravaganza Event

For those looking to have a hoppin’ time, the Spring Eggstravaganza Event holds a wide variety of options. Once there, people can meet the Easter Bunny, hunt for eggs, and experience a life-sized Candyland hosted at the South Austin Recreation Center. This event will be hosted April 15, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
