For the fourth monthly film screening, the film club is showing Jean-Luc Godard’s 1960 masterpiece Breathless. In contrast to previous screenings, the film club has decided to show this French film to celebrate world cinema. The film was revolutionary at its time for its use of new editing techniques and its non-traditional narrative. 50 years later, the film still has a lasting influence on modern auteurs such as Steven Soderbergh, Quentin Tarantino and Leos Carax.
The screening is on Friday, January 11 at 4:30, in the Little Theater. The showing is free and everyone is invited to come!
