HOSA hosts Pasta for Pennies drive

by Matthew Grissom, Staff Writer

HOSA is hosting a challenge to all students called Pasta for Pennies. 2nd period classes are eligible to participate and boxes have been placed in each teacher’s classroom. All donations will be donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society that will use this money to try to find a cure. The class with the most donations will receive a pasta party from Olive Garden.

“We collected $141.73 in one day,” Mrs. Hall said in an email to teachers. “Thank you all so much for your support of Pasta for Pennies this week. Just imagine how much we can collect by the end of February.”

Every Friday of the month, Mrs. Hall will be sending out the top 10 leaders with the most money. The winning team will receive a pasta party from Olive Garden when the contest is over. As of February 13, Mrs. Feliciano’s class was leading the pack, followed closely by Mr. Rucker’s class.

The contest will end on February 27.
