The Republican club aims to educate students about politics so when they become 18 they can make informed decisions about voting. They invite guest speakers, go on tours, and sometimes do service projects.
“We have a lot of guest speakers this year; this week we have Dr. Barry Schlech who is the Vice President of the Texas Tea Party. We’re having a private tour of the capital too.” Senior, Josh Money said. “We talked about it last year and it really never turned into much, but we regrouped and decided that since we’ll be the ones voting we’re the future of this country so we should try to educate people.”
They typically meet every other Thursday at 4, in lecture hall A. Their twitter page is @LHSRepublicans .
