Following a long tournament season that concluded on Saturday, March 21 in Manor, the Lions began district play Tuesday against Georgetown. The game was played at Georgetown and the team came out with a victory with a score of 1-0.

In the third inning, the winning run was brought in by senior Robert Marquez with junior Jason McCall scoring the run.

Senior Brady Ewing pitched the entire game and only gave up 3 hits.

“The team played great,” Ewing said. “We never gave up and we came out with a win.”

As a whole, the team did not give up any errors and played great defense.

The Lions will play Georgetown again at The Diamond at Leander at 7 P.M. today.
