Wrestling continues season with small squad

Chris Giddons is expected to continue his winning streak tonight during the Leander vs Cedar Park wrestling match.

Overall the wrestling team has done well, but not having enough to fill the rosters has hurt the team before.

“It all comes down to pins,” coach Clay Richards said. “Not having enough to fill the roster hurts us.”

Juniors Brandon Spear, Justin Hickman, Joe Hubbard, senior Chase Therman, and freshman Tyler Young are expected to do really well in the meet.

“Tyler is about 225 pounds. He’s a big freshman, about the size of a lineman,” said Coach Richards “I’m expecting him to do well tonight!”
