Freshmen Football Faces Tough End of Season

 On October 4, the Freshmen Red team kicked off against the Rouse Raiders.

  In the first minute and 44 seconds of the first quarter, the Raiders intercepted a pass for the Lions. In the next 13 seconds, the Raiders scored, starting off with 7-0. With 3:52 left in the first quarter, the Raiders fell into a touchdown, 14-0.

  After a non-scoring second quarter, with 20 seconds left in the 3rd, Rouse made another touchdown, 21-0. In the first three minutes and 52 seconds, Rouse made a touchdown, 28-0. The game ended with the Rouse Raiders winning 28-0.

  On Wednesday, October 10, the Freshmen lost 14-41 against the Vandegrift Vipers. The next game for the Freshmen Red team is against the Vista Ridge Rangers  at Bible Stadium at 5:30 p.m.

  On October 4, the Freshmen Blue team lost 42-15 to the Rouse Raiders.

  Most of the first quarter went without a score from either team. In the last two minutes, however, the Raiders scored a touchdown, but the extra point was blocked, ending the first quarter with a 6-0 score.

  Four minutes and 46 seconds into the second quarter, the Raiders scored again, and the extra point was blocked, ending the first half with a score of 12-0.

  In the first few minutes of the second half, the Lions scored a safety making the score 12-2. About four minutes later, Rouse made a touchdown and went for a two-point conversion. The score was 20-2. In the remaining two minutes, the Lions made a touchdown and an extra point, ending the third quarter with a score of 20-8.

  To start off the fourth quarter, the Raiders made a 33 yard touchdown run, and an extra point. The score was 27-8. With 6:07 to go, the Lions made a touchdown and an extra point, 27-15. To retaliate, the Raiders made a 69 yard touchdown run. They made a two-point conversion and a score of 35-15. In the last minute of the fourth quarter, the Raiders made a touchdown and an extra point. The game ended with a score of 42-15.

  On Wednesday, October 10th, the Freshmen Blue team lost 8-38 against the Vandegrift Vipers. Next week the Lions will play against the Vista Ridge Rangers at Bible Stadium at 7:30 p.m.
