After rescheduling, students defeated faculty 30-24 in an intense student-staff basketball game April 2. The game started at 2:13 in the Competition Gym. Students paid $3 a ticket to get out of their fourth period class and watch the game.
Baseball coach Alan Guzman: “I had the right people around me. My favorite part was not letting my team down like they let me down.”
Football coach Grant Britton: “The game felt awesome. I got my cardio in for the entire decade. I don’t have to run or do anything active until 2030. You got to throw the chair – it’s the ol’ Bobby Knight routine. Go Hoosiers, baby!”
Senior Gavin Glover: “I really wanted to dunk on somebody, but I did not succeed. What was going on in my head was really just to win the game. That’s all I wanted for real, other than the dunk. I’m just glad that we won. It felt amazing to win. It was Amazing to beat Coach Spencer and Coach Price, obviously. My highlight was getting the lay-up on Coach Spencer.”
Senior Soren Leavitt: “I was very satisfied with this win. We played great as a team, we had good team chemistry. Our strongest player was definitely Dilraj Sandhu, coming out strong off the bench with two 3-pointers and back-to-back possession, great to see. We killed the staff so I’m happy about it.”
Senior Gage Faglie: “We got the job done. None of the staff team were good, they all sucked.”
