Festival of Bands showcases the best of the district

Middle, high school bands perform for community to raise funds for Fine Arts

The band preforming their halftime show. On Monday they will be the last to preform out of the high schools at 8 p.m.

The district-wide band showcase known as Festival of Bands will be at Bible Stadium starting at 6:30 p.m on September 21. It will feature all five high school marching bands and middle school bands at LISD.

The Leander band will perform their show entitled “Choral Works,” at 8 p.m. Their show features members of the Choir along with their color guard and colorful props shaped like coral.

The University of Texas Longhorn Band will be performing after the last high school band plays. Ticket prices are $5 for adults, $3 for students, and children under four get in free. The proceeds go to support the Fine Arts and Cheer programs in LISD.
