1. Visit a local pumpkin patch

Autumn is finally here, and now it’s time to pick out the best pumpkins for carving. There are several local pumpkin patches here in Austin to choose from, so take a look and purchase a pumpkin. Also, pumpkin patches can be great places for senior photos or any photos in general. If you’re one for photos, don’t forget to bring your camera. Learn more about these pumpkin patches here and check out their websites for rules and regulations on social distancing.

2. Host a scary movie Netflix party

Since COVID-19 is still an issue, sleepovers and Halloween parties will be few and far between. However, Google and Netflix released the Netflix Party chrome extension. With this, you can enjoy a virtual sleepover or Halloween party and watch scary movies with a group of friends. You can even take it a step further and download the Chrome extension Scener, which allows you to watch a movie and video chat with your friends at the same time.

3. Decorate with Halloween decor

With Halloween approaching, it’s time to bring out the spooky decorations. Why not shop online for some nice decor and furniture to decorate the house with. You can even start shopping for Thanksgiving decorations for your dining room and kitchen area. You can even decorate while you listen to Halloween music.

4. Carve Pumpkins

There are many different ways to carve a pumpkin, and they are great decorations for the outside of your house. After visiting your local pumpkin patch or getting a pumpkin at the store, design your pumpkin and display outside of your house. Don’t forget the lanterns or lights.

5. Stack up on candy

That’s right. The fall candy is back, and it’s time to stock up. Head to your local convenience or drug store, and get some of the fall snacks and candy. You can also try out some new brand name snacks from some online favorites and try them out.
